Non-vegetarian cooking has been often thought to be unhealthy as compared to greens. However, this is not particularly true and a lot of it depends on how you cook it. For this, we’ve created this article to help you start on your journey in experimenting with healthy non-veg dishes.  

  1. Baked Salmon: 

Salmon is a very robust fish that has a strong and fatty flavor. Due to this, it is difficult to mess up cooking salmon as it tastes good on both the under done and overdone side. Most households have an oven, so oven baked salmon is a great option for lean protein. You can also include a variety of greens as sides, in this dish. The process is simple. The salmon needs to be seasoned with salt and pepper and then baked on a well oiled baking tray for 20-25 minutes at a high temperature.  

  1. Chicken Salad:

Chicken salad is an extremely simple and versatile recipe. Using boiled, fried, or stir-fried chunks of chicken, and adding them to a salad is as easy as it gets. The cooking process is very simple, after the chicken is done cooking, all you need to do is construct your salad base using lots of vegetables. Finally, you can add your salad dressing for flavor. Our personally preferred combination is capsicums, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a lot of lettuce. The salad dressing is a combination of mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon, salt, and sesame seeds blended in a mixer. It’s a low-fat quick to make, and easy to store recipe. 

  1. Turkey Soup:

Turkey Soup is a simple dish that you can just set to cook and forget about. You only need to sauté onions and mushrooms in a large pot then add the leftover turkey pieces and potatoes, along with the chicken stock, and let it boil for 30-40 minutes. This is an extremely simple recipe that can utilize the leftovers of the day.
